I guess I have been missing from the blogging scene for like forever... lol. so I guess as this is the last day of 2008, I shall make a rare appearance on my blog for what may seem like once in forever.
This year has its full of ups and downs... hard to reflect on all the things that has happened but I guess it's alright to think back on some of the great moments that happened for me in 2008...
1. the blogging boom - I took a course in university early this year on social media which got me up and crazy about social media... I was trying just about everything you could think of... lol. I made really great friends through all the social media sites and also got to interview some of the whos who in this SM scene. I'm truly grateful for all the friends that I have made through entrecard, facebook, aussie blogger forum and just random links here and there... lol. You guys know who you are.... and I haven't forgotten about all of you... :)
2. graduation - finally got out of the whole education cycle and out into the working world. the later half year showed me what it is like to truly earn your keep and make every cent count. Work is still fun but I guess the longer you are in the working population, the more you see the ugly sides of the world like office politics, biasness etc but there is always that glimmer of fun, friends and fulfillment which just keeps me going... oh, and don't forget the spending power. lol.
3. hubby and the europe bit - that is one of the darker moments of this year for me when my hubby has to leave for the big EU. but 2 and a half months have come and gone, now he's home for a couple of weeks which I am very thankful for (now you all know where I kinda disappeared to... lol) and I'm spending loads of time with him just to enjoy this physical presence a little more. the good news is that he would be coming back more often, just don't know how often but i'm really having faith that all will be great
4. the gym thing - yes, i am still going at it 5 days a week but pulling back to about 1.5 to 2 hours in the gym. so far, I feel more energetic and lively and really love that adrenaline rush. i'm glad that i decided to do something about fitness this year and will certainly continue in the year ahead.
5. the secret thing on the way - ok, i couldn't of a better term for it but I rather let this one be a secret for now until i can disclose it. just really excited to be embarking on this secret thing and actually being part of the process of it (hubby will know what I am talking about). i'm just grateful that this secret thing will truly be a blessed one and everything will run smoothly. until the time when I can fully disclose what it is, all i can say now it is that i am sooo totally excited. :)
have a great new year everyone and believe that 2009 will be an awesome year with much blessings amidst the storms. :) always believe in the sliver lining bit. haha...
