I will survive!!! I will survive!!!
    Saturday, October 25, 2008
hahaha... somehow this song rang in my head when I was reading all the wonderful and encouraging comments on my previous post. So far, everything's going alright. Skype's a charm but I wake up like 4 or 5am (Singapore time) just to get a hold of my hubby at his night time. Sigh. I really hope he gets his cell phone and landline going on, so we can stay contactable during more humane hours of the day. Now my body clock's a little haywire but oh well... all for love ya?

meanwhile, I keep myself busy with gym, work, church, playing mahjong with my grandmother on saturdays and just spending some quality 'me' time. my hamster is also a whole other load of responsibility (thank God i didn't persuade my hubby to get a dog). Just taking care of a hamster is already a whole load of work... just imagine a dog!

Basically, I have been more of a hermit than my dear friend Cheryl. I have yet to have a social life since... well, almost forever. Hahaha... my life now basically revolves around my family, my work place and colleagues and contacting my hubby. how boring right?

That's why I have not been updating this blog as often cos I really have nothing interesting to write. I have officially become the most boring person to be around. lolz. that's why i'm singing the 'i will survive' song. its not about enjoyment but survival.

hope you all are having more fun than me! take care!

Good to hear u r perking up !

Dont think urself as boring my dear. I bet ur grandma appreciates ur company at mahjong. We all do mean different things to different people, even tho it's not always voiced out loud. Over the weekend my niece (hubby away in Taiwan) told me that she has now the time to rescue a much neglected friendship out of the fridge - haha.

Well, you'll have Sher. to accompany you for a couple of days at least. lol

Are you good at mahjong? I could never remember all the different winning combinations and all.

@dutchie, just wondering whether there's an equivalent of mahjong over at your side.

CK, u really got me thinking abt the pastimes of the dutch. There is no equivalent of a mahjong game in NL. Chess is a popular game n I do read abt competitions on a regular basis.

My hubby actually owns a mahjong set but it's more out of curiousity n he has yet to learn to play it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but ísn't mahjong more widely played among the Cantonese than any other dialect groups ?

Is it a difficult game to learn I wonder ?

Jasmine, how's the partying with Sher ?

      @dutchie,
lol, this is weird. It seems that we're having a conversation with Jas around.

Mahjong's not that difficult to learn but it's not easy to master the game. I learn it in my army bunks during those days that we actually have some time on our hands.

Hey dutchie and CK!! Go on and have a great convo here! Keep my blog alive for me at least. Haha.. I'm doing good!

Sher hasn't contacted me... hmm. I must go drop her a mail to remind her about the meet up!

One day maybe we can all have a good mahjong game. It's a game full of rules but a great strategy game nonetheless. :)

@dutchie: hope you had a great time with your niece! Wish I had a niece old enough to talk to me. Hahaha...
