| Some of you guys might be wondering why I have been "missing in action" from the blogosphere for quite some time since my birthday. Well, I guess this is the time to make things a tad bit clearer since I have a little more time today to key in a what seemingly seems as one of the last few entries in this blog with a more commercial feel.
There has been some queries why my PageRank or Technorati ratings have been rather low compared to other blogs which have been released about the same time as mine did. Well, I started blogging when I was 16 as an alternative avenue to writing a diary. Come to think of it, these 7 plus years have been such a journey of life for me. To see my writing grow and my style change from ranting to discussion. When I started this, I never ever thought that my blog would be visited by so many people from all over the world and for this I am eternally grateful.
This blog has had its remarkable moments with the link from Entrecard, Twitter and other great applications that allowed my blog to be made known to so many people. This blog has also allowed me to make wonderful friends from all over the world (You guys know who you are) who have joined me in my journey through the blogosphere. Don't worry I won't forget you all and will continue visiting all your blogs.
The social media world, especially the blogo-scene is always changing, evolving and moving. For people to stay commercially viable with blogs, one must invest loads of time, effort and maybe money (God forbid) in the maintenance of their blogs and all their linked applications. Some say the use of social media is an easier way to reach specific niches of clients and people but they didn't mention about the loads of work you have to do to achieve results. You have to keep up with the latest applications, latest site and latest community. You have to keep looking and chasing - chasing for popularity (which might come with fame and money).
For a while, blogging, entrecarding, twittering can be fun and probably useful but soon, you see how people move in and out of applications as they become popular or die out due to lack of a community; it just cause you to wonder if this is such a sustainable way of promotion.
Personally, after six months of finding, joining and chasing the blog bandwagon, I have decided that I am not virtually fit enough to keep up with such a race. Call me a loser, a quitter but I think that for my own personal sanity and health (since my work requires me to face the computer for 10 hours a day), I need to back out from the commercial blogosphere world for a while and just recuperate. This race has been a tough one and I'm nearly running out of breath. I'm still going to blog and put stuff up but not on such a regular basis anymore, since I hardly turn on my computer at home now and you guys know how we by right shouldn't be blogging at work and stuff (hey, I am a good and responsible worker okay... lol).
So yeah, this long post (Gosh, I haven't posted such a long post in quite a while) is basically telling you guys, I'm going to retreat from blogging for a while but feel free to come back once in a while to see if there are any new updates from Jasmine Shanea's life (or the seemingly lack of it).
Just wanna take this time to thank everyone who has faithfully supported this blog for all that it is and just showed me how welcoming and lovely the blogosphere is. Thank you to all the friends that I found through blogging and social media-ing ... I'll never forget you guys!
Take care everyone!

Oh, what a pity!
Just in time to send you hugs.
Take care.
